Wednesday Morning Update

Good Morning everyone from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

Yesterday lots of rain fell across the area and that has helped to develop some fog on the morning commute. Make sure to use low beam headlights and drive carefully as we are seeing reduced visibilities.

For the rest of today we should see a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer than yesterday with highs in the upper 80’s. Down to our south we are watching a low that is spawning showers and thunderstorms around Corpus Christi and Brownsville. This could bring a few showers in our southern counties closest to the disturbance and the area with the most low level moisture. However, if we do see any development it should be short lived as our mid and upper levels are dry. Overnight lows will be in the upper 60’s.

Tomorrow will be very similar today with lots of sunshine a few clouds and isolated storms again possible in our southern counties.

By this weekend an upper level low could form in west Texas and that would mean a more cloud cover and rainy weekend. We are also watching a front from the north and a tropical wave that could help with the rain chances. We will be keeping a close eye on these scenarios. If they play out rain chances will be bumped up.

Have a great day!
