Thursday Morning Update

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

Showers and a few Thunderstorms popped up across the southern part of the Big Country yesterday. Across most the area we saw some better cloud cover and temperatures stayed in the upper 80’s to low 90’s.

More moisture pushed into the area yesterday raising the dew points and it looks like that trend will only continue. Today will be very similar to yesterday. Better cloud cover will be across the area with temperatures hitting the upper 80’s. The upper level low is still churning just below the Big Bend area and will linger for the next few days. This will again put the best chance for showers and thunderstorms in our southern counties today. Western and northern will still see partly cloudy skies, a bit warmer temperatures, but will get their fair shot of rain come the weekend.

Tomorrow we will see a front approach that will bump rain chances up for all of the Big Country tomorrow through Sunday.

Temperatures will be in the upper 80’s with lows in low 70’s.

Have a good day!
