Monday Morning Forecast

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

Sunday turned out to be an overall nice day after a bit of cloud cover and rainy weather the previous few days. Overnight we have stayed calm with temperatures around 70 degrees.

To start of our week we will keep rain chances around. For most of the Monday we will see partly sunny skies but towards late afternoon/evening we could see thunderstorms begin. Our current weather pattern is an upper level high out to the west. With clockwise rotation around a high, this puts us in a north northeast flow aloft. A disturbance that is currently far north in Iowa will be pushed south towards us. If it can stay together we could get impacted as early as afternoon. Temperatures will be a bit warmer with highs in the lower 90’s and lows in the lower 70’s.

Tomorrow we will keep a twenty percent chance of thunderstorms with highs in the upper 80’s. By Wednesday our flow in the upper levels will break down and help us to remove the rain chances. For the rest of the week we will see a mix of sun and clouds with low 90’s for afternoon highs. By the end of the week we could see a front bring back the rain chances for the weekend, right now the chance is just at slight.

Have a great week!
