Thursday Forecast

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

Overall below average temperatures and sunshine made for nice half way point in our week, but things may be changing over the next couple days. We saw scattered showers and storms once again in our southern counties and more of us may be seeing rain into the weekend.

The upper level low that has caused plenty of rainfall in Del Rio and near 3 inches in greater San Antonio will continue to churn and keep the rain falling. This system will be nearly stationary through the day which will keep the bulk of the activity down in hill country and along the coast. For us we will see increasing clouds and rain chances spreading more north with everyone getting a 20 percent chance of seeing some showers. If this low tracks towards the Big Bend into the weekend we will be on store for a rainy few days. Remember, if an upper level low is to our west we will be on the wet side. Today and tomorrow our highs will stay in the mid 80’s but by the weekend should increase to the low 90’s. Overnight lows will be around 70 degrees.

We will keep the rain chances in through early next week with the best bet seeing afternoon thunderstorms as we again will be in northly flow aloft.

Have a great day!
