Tuesday Morning Update

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

Our week started off with beautiful day across the area, less humidity and temperatures right around 90 degrees it was not a scorcher but definitely felt warm in the afternoon.

Much of the same conditions will be on board for the next couple days. With an upper level high pressure system still seated out west we will keep the forecast dry. Plenty of sunshine and temperatures right around 90 degrees will be in store at least until Thursday. Another good factor will be the continuing low dew points which help us with our heat indexes. With less moisture temperatures won’t feel much warmer than what they actually are. However, this also plays a factor in rain chances. Even though we may get a disturbance pushing through the area if we don’t have the moisture we won’t be able to produce any rain. By the end of the week more moisture should return which will help put the rain chances back in the seven day.

If you will be traveling down to the hill country or the gulf cost be ready for some wet weather. An upper level trough is in place and is producing plenty of rainfall in southern Texas. As this system makes its progression west we could see a few showers down in on southern counties.

The best rain chances will come by the weekend where a frontal system is still in place to make an impact.

Have a great day!
