Tuesday Morning Forecast

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

Yesterday morning was perfect for a nice swim but as the afternoon approached the clouds built in and the showers and storms came out. We saw a little less activity then a few previous days but many still had to use the windshield wipers on their way home from work.

Though we have finally said goodbye to one low another is just in the beginning stages. This low which is just below the Big Bend will slowly drift its way north and over the next few days and will stay just to the west of our area. Remember when the low is to the west we are on the wetter side. Because of this low, and also a front just above the panhandle we will begin to see increasing clouds and rain chances then next couple days. This only correlates to cooler highs and warmer lows. We will keep highs in the upper 80’s, with lows in the lower 70’s.

By the end of the week this weak low should begin to diminish. Right now models are suggesting a strong high building in which is usually what we see during the summer months. That being said we may finally see lots of sunshine, no rain chances and highs in the mid 90’s by the beginning of next week. Yes, I really did say 90’s. We will keep in an eye on this scenario the next couples days if it pans out we may finally see summer like weather arrive for August.

Have a great day!
