Monday Morning Forecast

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

If you got out early yesterday you saw the sunshine. But by late morning the storms were already over the area. Through the afternoon, plenty of showers covered the Big Country with Abilene picking up .14. This amount of rainfall has put us over our yearly total of 23.77, we have already received 23.81.

This morning we could see fog develop across the area, with plenty of moisture and calm winds. Temperatures are starting off in the upper 60's to lows 70's with highs reaching the mid 80's this afternoon. With the upper level low off to our west in northern Mexico and an upper level high beginning to build in to our east we still have a good shot at rain today. The best chance will be from late morning till late evening. Once we loose the heating of the day we should begin to diminish the activity however an isolated shower still is possible through the overnight. Lows will again be around 70.

The rain chances continue over the next several days do to a lot of factors in place. We should continue to see the pattern of showers and storms during the day with the activity dieing down after sunset. The factors will be plenty of moisture along with disturbances been thrown around the high and instability from the heating of the day. Highs will be in the mid 80's.

Have a great day!
