Wednesday Morning Update

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

We saw mostly cloudy skies for most of the morning yesterday but the clouds broke in the early afternoon and temperatures tipped into the 90’s.

Storms have stayed up in the panhandle this morning thanks to a system in the upper levels. We should see them brush our northern counties however the heaviest activity has stayed out of our area. Through the next few days we will stay in northwest flow aloft which could spark a few more disturbances pushing through. We have plenty of moisture that will help with the storms and also the heat indices. Temperatures will be in the lower 90’s however it can feel 5-10 degrees warmer thanks to lots of humidity. Please exercise caution if you will be outdoors for any length of time-stay hydrated, in the shade and limit your time especially in during peak hours.

For the weekend you might want to keep the umbrella somewhere handy.
A front will be knocking at our door however models have it stalling out right to our north. With the front approaching cloud cover will increase as well as rain chances. This will help bring out temperatures just a few degrees cooler. Overnight lows will drop in the upper 60’s.

Have a good one.
