A Warm and Windy Weekend Ahead

From Chief Meteorologist Brandon Rector...

It was a chilly start to the day with temperatures in the mid 30s to low 40s. This afternoon was warmer, windy and mostly cloudy. Highs were in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Warm and windy conditions are expected for Saturday and Sunday. Highs look to be in the mid 70s under partly cloudy skies. Winds will be from the south-southwest at 15 to 25 mph. Even though we have had moisture return to the area, there will still be an elevated fire danger this weekend.

A cold front should move through the area late Monday. This will bring much cooler temperatures to the area and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday night. Highs look to be in the low 70s for the start of the work week.

We may see a linger shower or two early Tuesday morning. After that we can expect partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Wednesday and Thursday look to be dry with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Have a super Saturday!
