Cooler This Weekend

From Chief Meteorologist Brandon Rector...

We started off chilly this morning with lows mainly in the mid 20s to mid 30s. We warmed up nice this afternoon thanks to a dry airmass, mostly sunny skies and southwest winds. Highs were in the mid 60s to low 70s.

A cold front will move through the area tomorrow morning. This means cooler temperatures for us this weekend. Highs look to be in the mid to upper 50s Saturday and Sunday under partly cloudy skies. Due to a lack of moisture, this will be a dry frontal passage for us Saturday morning.

Monday and Tuesday should be dry with highs in the mid to upper 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Another cold front is expected to move through the area on Wednesday. This front looks to bring the coldest temperatures we have had in over a week. Highs for Wednesday through Friday of next week should be in the 40s. We may have enough moisture back in the area during this time period to see some precipitation. The chance is only slight right now, but that could change as we get closer to Wednesday. We are going to have to keep a close eye on the exact timing of some upper level disturbances for the second half of the work week. Temperatures will likely be at or below freezing overnight Wednesday and Thursday night. As always, we will keep you updated with the latest.

Have a super Saturday!
