Cold Start, Warm Afternoon

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly...

We saw a cool start to the work week with a front rolling through in the early hours of the day. Temperatures made it up to seasonable highs in the mid 50's. Overnight we have cooled down significantly with clear skies and lighter winds allowing those temperatures to drop.

As you head out bundle up and grab some hot coffee but wear the layers as this afternoon we will warm back up to the lower 60's. High pressure will be the main player today allowing us to see plenty of sunshine. Off to our west a trough is developing which will keep the west Texas winds blowing with gusts over 20 mph. Tonight begins repeated front rolling through over the next several days.

One front will come through in the early hours of Thursday this will actually keep our temperatures a little more mild as the winds stay gusty. Temperatures will stay consecutive with lower 60's and lows in the mid 30's. This weekend another front pushes on through ay and drops our temperatures just a bit in the mid 50's. The real cool air doesn’t arrive until early next week were highs will only be in the upper 40's.

Have a great day!
