Cold Front Is On The Way

From Chief Meteorologist Brandon Rector...

It was another cold start to the day with temperatures in the low 20s to low 30s across the Big Country. Highs this afternoon were in the 50s. We were a bit cooler today thanks to mostly cloudy skies during the prime heating hours of the day.

Tomorrow looks to be cooler due to a cold front moving through the area. It should arrive in the northwestern part of the area by mid-morning. Highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s under mostly cloudy skies. There is a slight chance of seeing a few sprinkles or light showers with the arrival of the front.

Wednesday night is expected to be one of the coldest this week with lows in the in the low to mid 20s. We'll need to remember to protect our pets, plants, and pipes. There is a slight chance of some snow flurries overnight Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Mostly cloudy skies should be with us through the day on Thursday with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. These temperatures are well below average for this time of year.

Friday and Saturday should be a bit chilly with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s under mostly sunny skies.

Sunday looks dry with highs in the mid 50s under partly cloudy skies.

We have a slight chance of rain Monday and next Tuesday due to another cold front making its way into the area. Highs should cool down from the upper 50s to the low 50s.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
