Good Evening from Meteorologist Kristen Connolly
It was a soggy start to the Holiday Weekend, with Shower and Thunderstorms across the Big Country. There was even a reported tornado 2 miles East of Stephenville. Pea sized hail was reported in Rule and Anson as well. The showers will continue through out the evening and into the morning hours. We could see anywhere’s from a quarter of an inch of rain to an inch of rain possible. The system will slowly begin to move its way northeast and with that we will begin to see the decreasing clouds by Saturday afternoon. Tomorrow temperatures will stay around average with mid 50’s and overnight lows in the mid 30’s. However the winds will be back with gusts again near 40 mph.
New Years Eve the sunshine will come back in full swing with Mostly Sunny skies continuing until New Years Day. Temperature will be in the upper 50’s with lows in the lower 30’s.
Tuesday we will bring back the clouds and cool temperatures with highs only in the upper 40’s and rain chances back for Wednesday. Overnight lows will again stay in the mid 30’s.
Have a great Holiday Weekend!
