Thursday Night Update

From Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

The winds were blowing today and the clouds moved into the area thanks to a Low pressure system off to the West. Gusts were in the 30’s with sustained winds in the upper 20’s. Through the clouds we saw a few rays of sun and temperatures stayed in the mid 60’s. Overnight the showers will begin to increase and temperatures will stay mild in the upper 40’s to lower 50’s. We could see an isolated thunderstorm and periods of heavy rain. Along with this system we will see a wind shift and some cooler air being pushed in.

Tomorrow the rain showers will continue through out the day with Mostly Cloudy skies. Temperatures will stay around average reaching the mid 50’s. The shower should begin to taper down into the morning hours Saturday and behind it we should see the clouds begin to clear. Saturday temperatures will again stay in the mid 50’s with lows in the lower 30’s.

The beautiful weather will return for New Years Eve and Day with sunny skies and again mid 50’s and lower 30’s. Tuesday we are brining back the rain chances along with some cloud cover and cooler temperatures. Mid 40’s will be the highs with overnights cooling down to just around 30.

Have a great evening!
