From Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly
Yesterday, winter came into full swing with cold temperatures and a mix of sleet that turned into snow causing lots of delays and cancellations. Through most of the day wind chills didn’t make it past the teens with temperatures barely making it into the 30’s. Overnight we have stayed cold, the good thing is the winds have died down a bit but wind chills still are in the teens.
Today we will warm up much above yesterday into the upper 40’s with plenty of sunshine. However it will be still around 10 degrees below average for this time of year. Into the overnight our lows should make it to just around 30 with clear skies. Tomorrow we will have another shot of cold area pushing in, however, it will only push our temperatures down a few degrees Sunday. Come Monday we should begin to see a small warming trend that should help us get back to around average by the end of the week.
By mid next week we may be able to see another shower, with our next disturbance pushing through. Although chilly, the weekend is looking dry.
Have a great one!
