Saturday Night Update

Good Evening from Meteorologist Kristen Connolly….

With a low pressure system in northern Mexico we have seen the Mostly Sunny skies turn to Mostly Cloudy skies. Showers have been intermittent in our southern counties around the Brownwood, Comanche area. We will see the scattered showers around the Big Country continue through the evening and overnight with up to a quarter inch accumulation. Our temperatures will also stay about freezing which means the precipitation will be liquid.

Last minute shoppers will be happy tomorrow as the clouds will clear out and by afternoon we will see the sun peaking through. Temperatures will rebound from the chilly 40’s today to mid 50’s. But the clearing we will also lower the temperatures overnight making it a chilly start for Santa in our area with temps in the low 30’s. Christmas weather will be perfect to try out all your new toys outside. Temperatures will hit the upper 50’s with Mostly Sunny skies.

The holiday week we will see seasonal temperatures in the upper 50’s and lows in the mid 30’s. Right now we will see Partly Cloudy skies with a slight chance for another shot of rain Thursday.

Have a great holiday weekend and Merry Christmas!
