Monday Night Update

From Chief Meteorologist Brandon Rector...

It was a mild and windy day across the Big Country as highs were in the mid 60s to low 70s. A dryline moved through this afternoon dropping our dewpoints into the 20s. It also helped to bring us windy conditons with winds sustained from the west at 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

A weak cold front will move through the area late tonight and early tomorrow. This front will only cool us down a little bit. Highs on Tuesday will reach the mid to upper 60s. Winds should be much lighter from the west-northwest.

It looks like we will continue with well above average temperatures for Wednesday through Sunday. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 60s to mid 70s during this time period with mostly sunny skies. Dry conditions are likely for the second half of the week as well.

Our next chance at rain looks to be next Monday with the arrival of a cold front into the Big Country. This front will likely bring temperatures back to or even below seasonal averages. We'll continue to keep you updated on this throughout the week.

Have a terrific Tuesday!
