Good Friday morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…
Overnight temperatures bottomed out around the Big Country into the 20’s, with even a few spots plummeting into the teens. The one blessing was with light winds, wind chills were not much of a factor. With our Southerly winds returning for today we will see temperatures similar to yesterday. However clouds will be increasing in the morning and by the afternoon we should see mostly cloudy skies. Overnight the cloud cover should help us to stay a bit warmer with lows only dropping into the mid 30’s.
The weekend should bring back some warmer temps with highs Saturday in the mid 50’s and Sunday in the lower 60’s. Overnights will stick in the mid 40’s with partly cloudy skies.
The beginning of the week should bring our next chance for some light precipitation, with moisture available, a disturbance rolling through and an upper level low, factors seem to be in place. We will also see another cold front budge through around Tuesday although it won’t plunge our temps like the last few have.
Have a great weekend!
