Plenty of Rain Chances

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly

We almost hit record highs yesterday, with plenty of sunshine, it was a beautiful day. However this morning a front is passing through the Big Country cooling us down and brining in the clouds. We will see temperatures cooler towards the Northern counties where the front hit this morning reaching temperatures in the mid 50’s. Towards our Southern Counties temperatures should be able to stay in the lower 60’s as the front won’t pass till around noontime. Rain chances are looking best into the overnight and Tuesday but we can’t rule out an isolated one this evening.

Firefighters will be happy Tuesday as it is looking like the best shot of steady rain that we have had in a while, we could even see a thunderstorm possible. Temperatures will stay cooler, topping off of only around 50 degrees. Overnight temperatures will not cool down with a big drop staying in mid 40’s.

Wednesday the rain chances will begin to die down with clouds also decreasing. Temperatures will warm up a bit more hitting around 60 with overnight cooling to mid 30’s. Enjoy the sunshine Thursday and Friday with similar temperatures as Wednesday.

Friday brings in the next front, cooling us back to the upper 40’s Saturday as well as helping us to put the rain chances on the board again. Temperatures Saturday into Sunday cool us to just around freezing, so we will be watching this system closely over the next few days and keep you updated if their might be some wintry precipitation.

Have a great week!
