Wednesday Night Update

From Chief Meteorologist Brandon Rector...

The above average temperatures continued for the Big Country today. Highs were in the upper 60s to low 70s. It was also breezy for a while during the late morning and afternoon hours.

Warm and dry conditions are expected to continue for the rest of the week. Highs look to range from the low 70s tomorrow to the upper 70s on Saturday. It is likely that we will have breezy conditions through the weekend. This means the fire danger will be elevated so please be careful.

Changes still look to arrive early next week. At this time, a cold front is expected to move through the area late Monday. This will cool our high temperatures closer to seasonal levels for Tuesday and Wednesday. We have a 20% to 30% chance of rain Monday through Wednesday. This is due to the cold front as well as an upper level low that should move close to the region. We will continue to keep you updated on this chance for precipitation.

Have a terrific Thursday!
