Another Hot Day, Hotter Around The Corner:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Another hot day for Abilene and across West Central Texas as highs this afternoon will climb into the middle 90s under a partly cloudy sky. The dryline and a weak front tonight could kick off a storm or two this evening so we've included a slight chance of a storm tonight mainly for the western and central half of the area, otherwise a bit more cloud cover overnight. Lows tonight will hold into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

* Hotter and slightly humid conditions will continue into the week with temperatures gradually warming into the upper 90s and low 100s by the late part of the week. Warm at night with lows in the lower 70s. Expect a partly cloudy sky each day with little in the way of a thunderstorm chances.

* The Weekend: Even hotter temperatures for the upcoming weekend with highs between 100-105° each day under a partly cloudy sky. This looks to be the warmest temperatures we will see so far for 2010 for the upcoming weekend. Forecast looks to remain dry and perhaps a bit humid.

* Drought Information: West Central Texas remains well above normal on rainfall this year so no drought issues here locally at the present time.
