A Few Storms Today & Still Hot:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Scattered storms out there early this morning but we'll see a few more as we progress into the day. A disturbance will work across West Central Texas today so that combined with daytime heating will help develop thunderstorms across the area. Otherwise expect partly cloudy conditions with highs in the middle 90s. An isolated storm possible tonight, lows in the lower 70s.
* Hotter and slightly humid conditions will continue into late week with temperatures gradually warming into the upper 90s and low 100s on Thursday. Even hotter on Friday with highs between 100-105° in the region. Warm at night with lows in the lower 70s. Expect a mostly sunny sky each day with little in the way of a thunderstorm chances.

* The Weekend: Even hotter temperatures for the upcoming weekend with highs between 100-105° each day under a mostly sunny sky. This looks to be the warmest temperatures we will see so far for 2010 for the upcoming weekend. Forecast looks to remain dry and perhaps a bit humid.

* Drought Information: West Central Texas remains well above normal on rainfall this year so no drought issues here locally at the present time.
