Warm & Muggy Weather Ahead:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Drying out after the nice rainfall we saw the last two days but that's it for the rainfall for at least the in the extended period. The main weather headlines for the rest of the weekend and into the weekend will be warmer temperatures and muggy conditions. Partly cloudy today but heading into the weekend we will be mostly sunny. Highs in the lower to middle 90s today but over the weekend we warm into the middle to upper 90s. Overnight lows remain in the lower to middle 70s.

* Next Week: The forecast remains pretty much the same into early next week with mostly sunny conditions with highs in the middle 90s. Monday is also the first day of summer. The Summer Solstice will occur at 6:28 A.M. local time.

* Hot Weather Safety: Medical experts remind everyone to be extremely careful when outside in the very hot weather. Some safety tips recommended include drinking plenty of water and taking frequent breaks in a cool spot. Also be sure to check on the elderly and your pets. You should also wear light colored clothing and don't forget to apply the sunscreen regularly. If you can you should up off your outdoor activities until early in the morning and into the evening to avoid the peak heating hours. An average of 175 Americans succumb to hot weather during the summer months across the country.
