Stormy Pattern In Place:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* A cold front moves through the region today but the airmass behind the front is rather moist and unstable so although a band of showers and thunderstorms has moved through early this morning, we could see scattered storms redevelop later today. Another devent chance of showers and thunderstorms possible tonight. Cooler today with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

* Friday and the weekend will feature cloudy intervals with scattered showers and thunderstorms each day as we settle into a stormy pattern across the region. The SPC maintains a 'Slight Risk' for severe weather on Friday for most of the viewing area. We can't rule out a isolated strong or severe storm or to during the weekend. The clouds and rain will keep temperatures down into the 70s for highs and overnight lows into the 50s.

* Next Week: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of a thunderstorm each day for the early and middle of next week with highs in the 80s and lows into the upper 50s and lower 60s.

* Drought Information: West Central Texas remains above normal on rainfall this year so no drought issues here locally at the present time.
