More Thunderstorms, Some Could Be Severe:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

*** There is a 'Slight Risk' for severe weather today and tonight across the Big Country, the Northern Heartland and the Northern Concho Valley. The main threat for Tuesday will be large hail and damaging winds. There is also a 'Slight Risk' on Wednesday with a 'Moderate Risk' just to the north of the Big Country. The threats for Wednesday will be large hail and damaging winds but the threat of a tornado is a little higher for Wednesday. ***

* Plenty of clouds out there this morning but no showers or thunderstorms. Complex of storms over the southern end of the state and a complex up across the Panhandle. The northern complex will move southeastward but this one not as strong as the one yesterday and should pass to our north across Texoma (Southeast Oklahoma and Northwest Texas) today. Clouds will break up giving us a partly to mostly cloudy day. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop later today and will stick around for tonight. Some storms could be severe. Highs in the low to middle 80s and lows in the 50s and 60s. We have a better chance for thunderstorms and severe weather on Wednesday for West Central Texas with highs up around 90.

* Drying out and warming up for the middle and later half of the week. Expect a partly cloudy sky each day with highs in the lower 90s and overnight lows into the 60s. The weekend looks nice as well with warm temperatures in place and no rain chances!

* Drought Information: West Central Texas remains well above normal on rainfall this year so no drought issues here locally at the present time.
