Hit & Miss Storms, Warm & Humid:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

*** There is a 'Slight Risk' for a severe thunderstorm or two along and west of the U.S. 277 corridor in the Big Country and the Northern Concho Valley for later today and this evening. Isolated thunderstorms that develop in this warm, moist and unstable atmosphere could produce large hail. ***

* Hit and miss thunderstorms are expected for the next few days across West Central Texas with warm and very humid conditions. A few storms could be strong to severe with the main threat being large hail but some storms could produce high winds. Not a large chance for storms, generally we'll hold a 30 percent chance for isolated storms over the next few days. Highs will hover into the 80s the next few days with lows in the middle 60s.

* Warming Trend: We begin to dry out and warm up by the middle of the week. Expect a partly cloudy sky for late week and into the weekend. Highs climb into the lower 90s with overnight lows staying in the middle and upper 60s.

* Drought Information: West Central Texas remains well above normal on rainfall this year so no drought issues here locally at the present time.
