Showers & Thunderstorms Today:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteoroloigst Chris Whited...

* Tax Day looks to be a wet day for Abilene and the Big Country as we are set up for the best rain chances in this area we've seen so far with this wet pattern. Highs today in the upper 60s/lower 70s and lows in the middle 50s.

*The warm and humid conditions remain in place into the weekend and now models suggest into early next week as well. The high pressure to our east slowly starts to drift eastward some which should allow a cold front to drift in from the north Friday and into Saturday which should help keep rain chances in the area. The clockwise flow around the high pressure will continue to pump moisture from the Gulf of Mexico into Texas. Daytime heating will also help trigger thunderstorms chances each day. The best storms chances will be during the afternoon and early evenings with isolated storm chances at night. High temperatures remain in the lower to middle 70s with overnight lows in the middle to upper 50s.
