Mix of Sun & Clouds Today, Still Dry:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteoroloigst Chris Whited...

* Storms never materialized yesterday because a complex of thunderstorms that stayed in Deep South Texas and along the coast pretty much blocked the moisture influx into our area so that's the reason the storms never showed up and the clouds broke up yesterday afternoon. Another area of storms is down that way this mornig. A batch of high to mid-level clouds are drifting in from the west so we should remain partly to mostly cloudh today and mostly cloudy tonight. It will be a breezy today as the wind picks up out of the southeast. Highs in the middle 70s and lows tonight in the middle 50s.

* Warm and humid weather pattern remains in place for the rest of the week with rain chances still in the forecast. An area of high pressure still sits to the east and is pretty much stationary. Clockwise flow around the high pressure will pump moisture from the Gulf of Mexico into Texas. Daytime heading and a few disturbances in the southeast flow will trigger thunderstorms chances each day this week. The best storms chances will be during the day with isolated storm chances at night. The highest rain chances will be into the middle of the week. High temperatures this week will be in the lower to middle 70s with overnight lows in the middle to upper 50s. The airmass is not going to be very comfortable as we will stay humid this week. A few peeks of sunshine now and then but overall we will stay mostly cloudy this week.

* Severe Weather: An organized severe weather threat is low. The above mentioned high will block any upper level systems from working in from the west. The jetstream pattern will take these systems to our north. This is still April so any thunderstorms that do develop could be strong or could briefly reach severe limits.
