Sunny & Windy Day Ahead:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Quiet morning out there other than the winds are picking up and will stay up during the day today across the region. Expect a sunny and warm day as highs climb well into the middle and even a few upper 70s. Windy conditions throughout the day as southwest winds will range between 15-25 miles per hour and perhaps a little higher at times with the stronger gusts. Areas that didn't see any rain or very little rain will probably see some blowing dust this afternoon, especially across the western areas of the Big Country. Mostly clear tonight with lows in the middle 40s and still rather breezy.

* A upper level low/cold front will work across the region tomorrow. The low will track north of the Big Country while the associated front will move through the area tomorrow morning. Temperatures will ease back into the upper 60s and low 70s but the day will be much windier. Expect southwest winds between 20-40 miles per hour, not to mention higher gusts. Elevated fire weather issues will be in place as well as the moisture from the rains yesterday will be well evaportated and things have dried out. Expect areas of blowing dust again.

* The winds ease late in the week as well as the temperatures as highs drop back into the lower 60s and lows at night dip into the upper 30s. These numbers are a little below normal for this time of year but not too much. A few clouds out there in the sky heading into the late week.

* Weekend: A very nice weekend with a mostly sunny sky. Highs on Saturday in the low 60s and upper 60s on Sunday. Lows in the upper 30s. If you're heading to the annual Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup the weather looks great!

* Time Change: Don't forget we all have to "spring forward" one hour early Sunday morning at 2:00 AM. It's time once again for us to go back into Daylight Saving Time. Also don't forget to change out the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. It's also a good idea to change the batteries in your NOAA All-Hazards Radio!
