Elevated Wildfire Threat This Weekend:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited:

* Sunny, windy and warm today with highs in the middle 70s. Mostly clear, windy and mild with lows in the lower to middle 50s tonight. Come Saturday a cold front will move across the area and we'll continue to stay windy with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Mostly clear tomorrow night with lows in the middle 40s and cooler on Sunday under a mostly sunny sky with highs in the middle 60s.

* Wildfire Danger: The National Weather Service has most of the viewing area under a Fire Weather Watch for Saturday as the winds will gust between 20 - 40 miles per hour tonight and into Saturday evening. We'll also see relative humidity values drop below 20% so extreme caution is advised over the weekend.

* Next Week: Weather pattern looks pretty quiet for next weeek with mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions with highs in the 70s on Monday and lower 80s on Tuesday and into Thursday. Overnight lows for the area in the 40s. Long range models bring the next chance for rain into the area come next Friday.
