Another Nice Late Winter Day:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Clear and cool this morning with temperatures in the middle/upper 30s and lower 40s. Another nice day ahead with plenty of sunshine and highs climbing into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Mostly clear tonight with lows warmer in the upper 40s. Clouds will be on the increase for Friday afternoon and windy with highs in the middle 70s.

* Strong cold front still on track to arrive overnight Friday and into Saturday morning across the area. There is a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms after midngiht and ending during the morning hours on Saturday. Temperatures will be much colder on Saturday with highs only in the upper 40s/low 50s. Saturday is also the first day of spring but it will not feel much like spring. In case your wondering the Vernal Equinox will occur at 12:32 P.M. CDT on Saturday. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s on Sunday morning and it's a good possibility a Freeze Warning could be issued for the area since this will be the first widespread freeze of the growing season. Temperatures warm back into the low 60s on Sunday.

* Next Week: A few clouds in the early part of the week with temperatures heading back into the 70s and lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Shower and thunderstorm chances return by the middle of the week.
