A Few Afternoon Showers Today:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* A weak low pressure system will work across the western areas of the state today. This will bring an increase of clouds into the day across the area. The system could also bring a few showers or even a thunderstorm this afternoon across the area. A stalled frontal boundary sits across the area as well. The best chance for showers will be north of the boundary, mainly in the Big Country. Highs north of the boundary in the upper 50s today, while areas south of the boundary in the Northern Heartland & Concho Valley will warm into the lower 60s. The shower chance ends this evening. Partly cloudy overnight with lows once again in the middle and upper 30s.

* Weekend/Next Week: Mostly sunny and nice to end the week tomorrow and over the weekend with highs in the middle to middle60s on Friday and Saturday. Expect temperatures back in the 70s on Sunday with a return of cloud cover. Rain increase on Monday with a chance for showers and thunderstorms as the next system and cold front work into the area. Rain chances still around on Tuesday before coming to an end. Temperatures turning a bit cooler with highs in the middle 50s on Monday and Tuesday. Lows in the upper 30s and low 40s.

* Time Change: Don't forget we all have to "spring forward" one hour early Sunday morning at 2:00 AM. It's time once again for us to go back into Daylight Saving Time. Also don't forget to change out the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. It's also a good idea to change the batteries in your NOAA All-Hazards Radio!
