Showers & Thunderstorms Likely:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Scattered showers on radar early this morning across West Central Texas. These showers will continue to develop in our warm and moist air mass that remains in place across the area. The cold front will move into the Big Country today increasing shower and thundestorms chances for the area into the afternoon and tonight. Rainfall could be heavy at times. Highs today will climb into the lower and middle 80s with lows tonight dropping into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Rain is likely this evening for area football games.

* Weekend: Showers and thunderstorms will remain in the forecast on Saturday but rain chances will come to an end late Saturday night and early on Sunday morning. Clouds will be on the decrease for Sunday. Highs on Saturday will be in the lower 80s with lows in the lower 60s. On Sunday high temperatures will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s with lows Sunday night into the 50s.

* Next Week: Mostly sunny each day in the forecast. We'll start off nice and cool early in the week with highs in the upper 70s and lower 70s with lows in the middle and upper 50s. A bit warmer by midweek when highs climb into the middle 80s. The overnight lows will remain in the middle to upper 50s.
