Isolated Storms Daily, Near Average Temps:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Nice and cool start to this Monday morning with temperatures into the 60s across West Central Texas. Expect a sunny start today then becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon. A southeast wind today will start to return low-level moisture into the region so I'll mention a slight chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon. Highs today into the middle 80s with overnight lows into the middle 60s.

* The Week Ahead: Partly cloudy each day with a slight chance of thunderstorms daily as a south and southeast flow keeps a moist air mass in place. Despite the higher humidity values, temperatures will be near averages for the week ahead. Highs each day in the middle 80s and overnight lows ranging from the lower to upper 60s. For now the rain chances will be around 20-percent daily but the models are trying to hint at higher percentages. I will monitor new data and may adjust the rain chances upward if the model trends continue to follow suite.

* Autumnal Equinox: Fall will officially arrive for West Central Texas on Wednesday night. The Autumnal Equinox will occur at 10:09 P.M. in the Central Time Zone. Temperatures will be near average for West Central Texas will the new season arrives.
