An Isolated Storm Possible Today:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Same old song and dance in the weather pattern for West Central Texas on this Thursday. A warm start this morning with temperatures ranging from the lower to upper 70s and mostly clear. As the day progresses we'll begin to see cumulus clouds develop around midday and into the afternoon. It will remain muggy with highs today in the lower to middle 90s with overnight lows ranging from the lower to upper 70s. Even though high pressure is in control the models are hinting at isolated storm chances this afternoon and early evening over the western counties and our northern counties. Our Futurecast model is showing scattered storms in our area as well. So I've decided to go ahead and insert a 20 percent chance for a thunderstorms but overall high pressure should continue suppress most thunderstorm activity.

* Late Week/Weekend: More warm and muggy weather ahead for the Big Country, the Northern Heartland and the Northern Concho Valley under a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky. As I mentioned yesterday the front makes it to about the Red River before it runs out of gas. Highs remain in the lower 90s with overnight lows in the lower 70s. The muggy feel will remain into the weekend across West Central Texas.

* Next Week: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy each day with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s and overnight lows into the upper 60s to lower 70s. Models are hinting at a rain chance toward Thursday of next week. It'll remain a bit muggy into next week.
