Turning Warmer and WINDY

FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..

YOU COULDN'T ASK FOR A NICER DAY THAN WHAT WE HAD TODAY, IF YOU DIDN'T MIND THOSE CHILLY TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING. WE GOT AS COOL AS 38 THIS MORNING IN ABILENE WHILE BROWNWOOD ACTUALLY HIT 30 DEGREES FOR A SHORT TIME AROUND SIX MONDAY MORNING.

THE COOL WEATHER IS BEHIND US, TEMPERATURES ARE SET TO RETURN TO A MORE SEASONABLE SITUATION. I'M LOOKING FOR LOWS TONIGHT TO DROP INTO THE UPPER 40'S BUT HIGHS TOMORROW NEAR 79. WEDNESDAY'S HIGH SHOULD BE AROUND 80.

THE GUSTY WIND IS GOING TO BE OUR BIG STORY THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS IN THE ROCKIES AND OUR SOUTHEAST WIND RESPONDS AND BECOMES GUSTY TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. WITH OUR DRY CONDITIONS PERSISTING, THE FIRE DANGER WILL INCREASE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

ONLY A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS LATE THURSDAY BUT OUR MOISTURE SUPPLY IS EXPECTED TO BE LIMITED SO THE BETTER CHANCE FOR RAIN STAYS TO OUR EAST.

MONDAY NIGHT: CLEAR AND 49.
TUESDAY: SUNNY AND WINDY, HIGH NEAR 79. SOUTHEAST WIND 20 TO 30 AND GUSTY.
TUESDAY NIGHT: CLEAR AND 58.
WEDNESDAY: SUNNY AND 80 WITH WINDY CONDITIONS.
