LIGHT AND VARIABLE WINDS...COMBINED WITH DRY AIR AND CLEARSKIES...WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO FALL INTO THE 32 TO 36 DEGREE RANGE TONIGHT...MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM SAN ANGELO TO BROWNWOOD. TEMPERATURES IN THIS RANGE WILL ENHANCE THEPOTENTIAL FOR FROST TO DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY IN LOW LYING AREAS.

A FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 9 AM CDT MONDAY. TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST TO DROP INTO THE 32 TO 36 DEGREE RANGE TONIGHT ACROSS THE NORTHWEST HILL COUNTRY...HEARTLAND...CONCHO VALLEY...AND NORTHERN EDWARDS PLATEAU REGIONS...ESPECIALLY IN THE RIVER VALLEYS.

A FROST ADVISORY MEANS THAT FROST IS POSSIBLE. SENSITIVE OUTDOOR PLANTS MAY BE KILLED IF LEFT UNCOVERED.

A SIGNIFICANT FROST IS POSSIBLE TONIGHT AND EARLY MONDAY MORNINGAS A COLD HIGH PRESSURE CENTER SETTLES INTO THE REGION. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL INTO THE 30S ACROSS MUCH OF NORTH TEXAS TONIGHT DUE TO VERY LIGHT WINDS AND CLEAR SKIES.

WHILE AIR TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN ABOVE FREEZING AT MOSTLOCATIONS...FROST CAN FORM AT AIR TEMPERATURES AS WARM AS 38 DEGREES UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS.FROST CAN DAMAGE OR KILL COLD SENSITIVE VEGETATION THAT HAS NOT BEEN PROTECTED. RESIDENTS SHOULD PROTECT ANY TENDER PLANTS THATHAVE RECENTLY BLOOMED OR BEEN PLANTED. COVERING THEM WITH A LIGHT BLANKET OR MOVING THEM BENEATH A COVERED PORCH SHOULD PROVIDEENOUGH PROTECTION FROM THIS LATE SEASON COLD SPELL.
