THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM CDT WEDNESDAY

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM WEDNESDAY TO THE WEST OF A LINE FROM HASKELL TO ABILENE TO SAN ANGELO. AFTERNOON MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL BE 10 TO 15 PERCENT...WITH SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 25 MPH AT THE 20 FOOT LEVEL...ALONG WITH HOT TEMPERATURES.

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONSARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OFSTRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILLCREATE EXPLOSIVE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL.
