Nice Weather Today...

FROM METEOROLOGIST CHRIS WHITED...

A SURFACE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE TEXAS ANDNEW MEXICO BORDER BY THIS AFTERNOON. IN RESPONSE TO THIS DEVELOPING TROUGH...SURFACE WINDS ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS WILL BECOME MORE WESTERLY TO SOUTHWESTERLY. THIS SOUTHWESTERLYFLOW...ALONG WITH SUNNY SKIES...WILL HELP PUSH AFTERNOON HIGHS TODAY BACK INTO THE 65 TO 70 DEGREE RANGE. AN APPROACHING COLDFRONT WILL PUSH THE SURFACE TROUGH EAST ACROSS OUR COUNTIES OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. CONTINUED SOUTHWESTERLY LOW-LEVEL FLOW TONIGHT WILL HELP HOLD OVERNIGHT LOWS ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK...MAINLY INTHE 35 TO 40 DEGREE RANGE.ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL PUSH SOUTH ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS WEDNESDAY. INCREASING CLOUDS AND SURFACE COLD AIR ADVECTION WILL HOLD AFTERNOON HIGHS A COUPLE CATEGORIES LOWER THAN HIGHS TODAY.


WINDS WILL RETURN FROM THE SOUTHWEST ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS TODAY. ALTHOUGH RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL BE IN THE TEENS THIS AFTERNOON...WIND SPEEDS WILL BE IN THE 10 TO 20 MPH RANGE...BELOW RED FLAG CRITERIA. ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA WEDNESDAY. AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL GIVE WESTCENTRAL TEXAS A CHANCE FOR LIGHT RAIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY.
