Front Arrives Today, Rain Chances Tomorrow:

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SOUTH ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS TODAY. WINDS BEHIND THE FRONT WILL BE IN THE 10 TO 20 MPH RANGE.HIGHS TODAY WILL BE MUCH COOLER FOR THE BIG COUNTRY.

AN UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BEGIN TO FORCE WARM MOIST AIR UP AND OVER THE SURFACE COLD AIR
ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS AND PEAK AROUND NOON THURSDAY. WITH COLD AIR IN PLACE, A RAIN SNOW MIX FOR THE BIG COUNTRY THURSDAY. THE UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH MOVES EAST. SURFACE COLD AIR ADVECTION CONTINUES FRIDAY WITH NORTHWEST TO NORTH WINDS. HOWEVER...DECREASING CLOUDS WILL ALLOW MORE SUNSHINE TOWARM TEMPERATURES INTO TO MID TO UPPER 50S FRIDAY AFTERNOON

THE WEEKEND LOOKS GREAT IF YOUR HEADING OVER TO SWEETWATER FOR THE RATTLESNAKE ROUND-UP ACTIVITIES. THE COOLER AIRMASS WILL MODIFY EARLY NEXT WEEK AS DAYTIME HIGHS WILL CLIMB BACK INTO THE 70S.
