Changes Ahead...

Good Morning From KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Expect a very warm day today with temperatures not too far from the records. The record for Abilene today is 92 from 1971... I am forecasting a high of around 90 for the Abilene area and lower 90s for the Heartland and Western Big Country. A dryline will move across the area today dropping relative humidity and dewpoint values, which in turn will help raise the temperatures.

* A cold front will move in late tonight and early Friday and will bring a drastic cool down with highs back into the middle to upper 60s for Friday and cooler overnight. The front will retreat back northward on Saturday as a warm front so highs will climb back to the middle 70s.

* Rain chances: A slight chance of rain over the weekend as moisture will surge in with the warm front and with daytime heating. Another front will move in by Monday and will bring a better chance of rain and storms for the area.

* Have a good Thursday...
