Wednesday Morning Forecast

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

Like clock work showers and thunderstorms popped up along trough out in west texas yesterday afternoon. Otherwise we warmed up with hot temperatures in the low 90's. Overnight we have seen a few hit or miss showers with most of the activity just to our northeast.

This morning a front is making its way through the Big Country. We are seeing a wind shift along with a little drier air but this isn't knocking the temperatures back to average for october. For the rest of the day this front will become stationary and eventually wash out. We could see a few showers spark off of it this morning then see a break till we get those afternoon heating storms. Temperatures will still rise to the upper 80's.

Thursday and Friday our ridge will return and plop over us bringing back the warm and dry weather into the early part of the weekend. The front that we have been talking about since the beginning of the week will arrive sometime Sunday. This front though doesn't look as strong as it once looked. This means those highs are not going to be dropping as much as we may want to make it feel more like fall. Right now I am keeping highs for early next in the lower 80's.

Have a good day!
