Saturday Afternoon Update

From Meteorologist Nathan Motz.....

One week into October and afternoon highs remain well above normal yet again today. It looks as if there will be one more day of 90 degree heat before a slight cool off occurs at the beginning of the upcoming work week. A cool front will move into north Texas tomorrow night and into the Big Country on Monday bringing somewhat cooler and drier air into west central Texas. Temperatures will continue to remain slightly above normal but no 90 degree heat is expected next week.

A slight chance of rain will accompany the frontal passage on Monday but it appears that the upper level energy necessary to create significant rain chances will remain well off to the north.

As a drier air mass moves in behind the front, overnight low temperatures will drop to just below normal into the mid 50's on Tuesday night. Overnight lows will remain cool in the upper 50's to lower 60's throughout the upcoming week.

Have a great weekend!!!
