A Change May Be Coming

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

A pretty quiet weekend overall with temperatures in the upper 80's to low 90's. This morning temperatures are starting off in the upper 60's to low 70's with high humidity.

That humidity will continue for the rest of the day. With winds out of the south southeast we will continue to fuel our area with plenty of moisture. A front to our north will be the focal point for some showers and thunderstorms that could drive into our area. The best chance will be in our northern counties. This front will push north and eventually wash out.

We will bring the second front of the week into our area Tuesday with the best chance of some showers coming Tuesday night into Wednesday. Although this front may bring rain, it doesn't look like it will bring much cooler temperatures with high only dropping a couple of degrees.

After the early week fronts we will dry things back out with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 80's and lows in the upper 60's.

This weekend fall could finally arrive as a strong cold front pushes through the Big Country. Right now models tending to drop highs in the mid 70's with lows in the mid 50's. We will keep an eye on this cool weather maker, but for everyone who has been wishing for some cooler weather, it may just be around the corner.

Have a great first day of October!
