Wednesday Afternoon Update

From Chief Meteorologist Brandon Rector...

Overall, it was a pleasant day in the Big Country with mild temperatures and comfortable conditions. The only thing keeping it from being perfect was the wind. Strong north winds were felt throughout the day with gusts as high as 25 to 30 mph. Highs were in the mid to upper 70s.

An upper level low that has sat over Mississippi today is expected to move northwest into Arkansas tomorrow. While this won't bring us any rain, we should see slightly cooler temperatures and few clouds on Thursday. Highs in the afternoon will be in the low to mid 70s after morning lows in the low to mid 40s.

Friday looks to be beautiful so we should have great weather for all the Friday night football games in the area. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s.

We could see a weak cold front move through the area this weekend thanks to a north-northwest flow aloft. It won't do much for our temperatures or bring us any rain. Highs for Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.

The first half of next week looks dry with highs in the low 70s.
