Tuesday Night Update

From Chief Meteorologist Brandon Rector...

We had a beautiful day here in the Big Country today. Temperatures were cooler thanks to the cold front that moved through yesterday. Highs ranged from the upper 70s to mid 80s. Drier air continued to filter into the region throughout the day and this helped to make it feel comfortable.

Pleasant conditions look to continue through the end of the work week due to an upper level high pressure ridge being in control over the area. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 80s. Dewpoints should be in the 40s and 50s Wednesday through Friday.

An upper level low is expected to move across the central and southern plains this weekend. The best dynamics for showers and thunderstorms will likely be to our north, but rain is still possible for our northern communties Saturday night and Sunday. The chance of precipitation is only slight though. Highs should be in the low to mid 80s under partly cloudy skies.

A weak cold front should move through the Big Country on Monday. There is a slight chance of rain for everyone in the viewing area for the beginning of the new work week. Highs look to be in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
