A Tad Cooler This Weekend:

* Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* The ridge continues to build eastward across Texas with above average temperatures expected for Abilene and the Big Country. Daytime highs will range between about 98 and 102° today with highs in the middle 70s overnight. Highs will still be near 100° on Saturday. Expect a mostly sunny sky each afternoon and mostly clear conditions overnight.

* The ridge drifts eastward this weekend. The ridge will be set up over the Mississippi River Valley so we should see our daytime highs drop back some into the middle 90s over the weekend. New data this moring has the high moving back westward next week so highs will climb back intot the upper 90s later in the week. Models are still hinting at isolated showers late weekend and into next week. I still have low confidence on these so not going to include in my forecast package.
