Hot Start For The Week, Changes Late Week:

Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Quiet weather across West Central Texas this morning. For this first day of school the weather will be quite hot across the area with many of us topping out into the lower 100s this afternoon. Abundant sunshine with a south breezy the main features in the forecast. Clear overnight with lows into the lower 70s. For Tuesday, we'll see about the same weather with sunny conditions and highs into the upper 90s and lower 100s.

* Changes Ahead: The high pressure area will begin to build more westward by the middle and late week. This will put the area back under a northerly flow which will allow a weak cold front to move into Big Country by Thursday. With the front in the area, we will see a slight rain chance in the area starting Thursday. We'll keep a slight chance for rain each day from the late week and into the weekend. It will also much cooler with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s with overnight lows into the middle to upper 60s.
