Cooler With A Chance Of Rain This Week

From Chief Meteorologist Brandon Rector...

Warm temperatures continued across much of the Big Country today despite the cloud cover. Highs were in the upper 70s to upper 80s. We did have some rainfall this evening in the western portions of the viewing area. This was due to an upper level disturbance that moved into the area thanks to an upper level low that is still to our west.

We will see the chance for rainfall continue tonight through Tuesday. An upper level low to our west will send disturbances into the region and a cold front should arrive late tomorrow. These lifting mechanisms will be our main sources for rain. The best shot for precipitation will be on Tuesday. Highs will be in the 70s with mostly cloudy skies for the next couple of days.

Another cold front is expected to arrive late Wednesday into Thursday. There is a slight chance for rain with this front. We will likely experience the coldest air of the season on Thursday. We may only make it into the low 60s for a high so get the sweaters and long-sleeve shirts ready.

Have a magnificent Monday!
