Friday Night Update

We had quite a bit of cloud cover stream across the area today. Despite this, highs still managed to be in the mid to upper 80s. Overall, it remained comfortable with dewpoints in the 50s.

The chance for rain returns tonight and lasts through Tuesday. There will likely be some upper level disturbances that roll through the Big Country this weekend bringing us some isolated showers and thunderstorms. The chance for rain on Saturday and Sunday is 20%. A cold front should arrive by Monday increasing our rain chance to 30%. We could see some lingering showers and storms on Tuesday. Highs during this time period will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Rain chances should end Wednesday through Friday with highs still in the mid to upper 80s.

Tropical Storm Florence continues to move across the Atlantic Ocean. According to the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center, it has maximum sustained winds of 50 mph and is moving northwest at 15 mph. It is expected to strengthen as it makes its way toward Bermuda by late Sunday and into Monday.
